About Darclight

Darclight Productions was founded by Darcas Macopson, an American actor who spent years working in Hollywood before making the transition to production. Born in North Carolina, trained at the Alliance Repertory Theatre Company in Atlanta, and based in Hollywood since his mid twenties, Darcas brings a performer's instinct to every project the studio develops.

His acting career included feature films at Columbia Pictures and Artisan Entertainment, and guest starring roles on network television series including CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Bones, and Tyler Perry's Love Thy Neighbor. That time in front of the camera gave him something no film school can teach: a deep understanding of what actors need, what stories feel true, and what audiences actually respond to.

Darclight's first major original production will be a film drawn directly from Darcas's own life. A story that begins in North Carolina and travels through Atlanta and Hollywood. It will be the studio's defining first statement.

Darclight is not a filmmaker trying to become a production company. It is an established creative studio with a clear identity, serious industry experience, and a slate of prestige films in active development.

The studio's aesthetic is shaped by the same companies that define prestige cinema today. The work will be cinematic, character driven, and built to last. Not corporate. Not film school. A true studio.

Every project Darclight develops will carry the same commitment: original stories, fearless vision, and the craft to match.
